Constantine
Founder and Maths Tutor
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, a PGCE in Mathematics and an MA in Mathematics
Education from UCL. With 17 years of tutoring experience, including roles as a Mathematics
Head of Department at leading independent and international schools, I founded Number One
Tutor to redefine academic support for GCSE, A Level and IB students.
My approach blends deep subject expertise with innovative teaching methods that make complex concepts clear, engaging and accessible. I am currently leading the development of a GCSE maths application designed to empower even more students to succeed.
Beyond the classroom, I bring a truly global perspective to my teaching. Having lived in over 250 houses across 12 countries and speaking five languages, I connect easily with students from all backgrounds, inspiring confidence, resilience and a passion for learning.

Alessandro
Maths, Finance and Economics Tutor
I am a PhD student in Economics at the University of Bologna with a strong background in
mathematics, statistics and finance. I hold degrees from Imperial College London, Bayes Business
School, LSE-Fudan and the University of Bologna.
I teach mathematics up to A-Level and IB, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate statistics and finance. My teaching experience includes university courses in Econometrics, Financial Econometrics and Data Analysis, alongside private tutoring in Quantitative Methods, Portfolio Theory and Risk Analysis.
I specialise in helping students master complex concepts and excel in both theory and application. Alongside my academic work, I have experience in investment banking and consultancy and will soon be joining the Bank of England as an economic forecaster, bringing real-world insights into my tutoring approach.

English Language & Literature Tutor
I hold a Master’s in Education from St. Andrew’s University and bring over 30 years of experience
teaching English and Literature at secondary level. I am currently Head of English at a leading
international school, where I manage curriculum development and lead a team of educators across
the IGCSE and IB Diploma programmes.
I am a certified IB Examiner in English B, Extended Essay and Theatre and I am also IGCSE-certified by the University of Cambridge. I have served on university-level teacher selection boards, bringing valuable insight into academic excellence and standards.
My expertise spans TESOL, English phonology and second language acquisition, making me especially skilled at supporting students for whom English is an additional language. With a calm, insightful teaching style and a passion for language, I help students master the skills they need to excel in both language and literature.

Science Tutor – Chemistry Specialist
I hold a Master’s degree in Biochemistry (MBiochem) from the University of Oxford and a PGCE in
Chemistry with Distinction from Canterbury Christ Church University. I bring a strong academic
background alongside extensive experience working with students across GCSE, A Level and IB.
I currently teach Biology at Wilson’s School, a high-achieving grammar school and previously taught Chemistry at Whitgift School, Langley Park School for Girls and Darrick Wood School. In each role I’ve focused on delivering engaging lessons and helping students build both scientific understanding and exam confidence. Alongside my classroom teaching I have supported students with university applications, personal statements and mock interviews and have led outreach initiatives to promote science education.
My passion for science extends beyond the classroom — I have co-authored a published research paper in structural bioinformatics, helped to lead a drug development project tackling Mycetoma and contributed to several Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and school trips.
As a qualified teacher and experienced mentor, I am committed to helping students develop strong academic skills, critical thinking and a lasting enthusiasm for learning

I currently serve as Head of Key Stage 3 at a leading British international school where I oversee the pastoral care of three year groups. Throughout my career, I have also coordinated Student Councils, supported academic leadership initiatives and contributed to the training of IB teachers as an IB Workshop Leader.
My approach combines strong academic rigour with a supportive, student-centred ethos. I aim to help students not only master scientific concepts but also develop critical thinking skills, personal responsibility and a passion for learning

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I have taught French, Spanish, Latin and Classics across UK and
international schools, covering GCSE, A Level and the IB Diploma Programme.

I tutor IB Global Politics and support students with university applications, helping them develop the analytical, critical thinking and communication skills needed for academic success. My experience includes internships at The Borgen Project and Conectas Direitos Humanos, where I worked on policy research, lobbying and human rights initiatives. I have also interned at the Australian Embassy in Lisbon, assisting with international relations, diplomacy and political analysis.
Beyond tutoring, I run a YouTube channel focused on political issues, where my work has reached over two million viewers. I speak Portuguese, English and French and enjoy blending academic insight with real-world experience to inspire students and guide them through their educational journeys

I’m an experienced educator specialising in Business and Management studies. I’ve taught across
various educational levels including IB, A-Level and undergraduate programmes at institutions such
as BCA College, Doukas School and the International School of Athens. My teaching portfolio includes

I hold an MLitt in Management from the University of St Andrews and I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Education Sciences at the University of Ioannina. My research focuses on authentic leadership and management practices within charity organisations.
Beyond the classroom, I’ve contributed to educational initiatives such as EU-funded projects on the circular economy and social entrepreneurship. I also offer soft skills training, academic mentoring and career counselling, aiming to help students develop both theoretical understanding and practical skills that prepare them for success.

Piano & Music Tutor
I’m a professional pianist, composer and multi-instrumental music tutor with extensive experience
teaching students of all ages and levels. I offer one-to-one tuition in piano and guitar, helping
students prepare for graded exams (ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool) or explore performance,
improvisation or songwriting at their own pace.
I teach a wide range of styles including classical, jazz, pop and contemporary and always adapt my lessons to suit each student’s goals and musical interests. My students have achieved excellent exam results and several have gone on to study music formally.
As a performer, I’ve played at venues including Ronnie Scott’s, BBC Studios and Abbey Road and regularly collaborate with artists across genres. I’ve released several albums of original music and built an online following of over 15,000 subscribers

I hold a degree in Physiotherapy from the International Hellenic University and have worked
in a British boarding school, where I supported students both pastorally and academically. As
a boarding supervisor, I organised on-site and off-site activities and helped create a
supportive environment where students felt welcome and encouraged.
I’m a calisthenics athlete and have been practising yoga for over six years. I offer yoga sessions designed to help students take a break from academic pressure, reconnect with their bodies, improve their focus and build lasting confidence. I speak five languages — Greek, English, Portuguese, Spanish and French — and enjoy working with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them find balance through movement.
